How do u store a leaf to keep it nice?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Squeeta, Aug 5, 2018.

  1. When i defoliated the other night I kept the nicest leaf off each strain to keep.
Has anyone done this? If so how do u keep the leaves? I just put em in between pages of a book.
Is there a better way to keep them to save their integrity?
I was thinking about waxpaper. But not sure if u have to heat the wax up with an iron or something.

  3. Ya between a book with some serious weight on top the book.

As for after you could try a clear coat or put them in a picture frame

  4. My wife used to decoupage using leaves. Inserted in a heave book is a good option. Eventually we made a press and stacked multiple leaves in wax paper but I never noticed any advantage over the book method.

  5. Exactly. ...
When the leaf is dry you can always plastificate it to make sure nothing happens to it

  7. Hahahahaha that’s funny. I don’t think God would mind, especially since He is ultimately responsible for the creation of this little plant that has brought us all together.

  10. To preserve them so they last forever in there original state, use a glycerin dunk, 1 part glycerin 2 parts water. Make the solution and pour it into a flat glass baking pan, submerge the leaf and place something on top of it to hold it down in the solution. I use a small piece of a old vinyl place mat and then I put a cup with water in it to hold that down. Then in 4 or 5 days it will be ready to be removed and placed on a few paper towels to dry out. If you do it that way the leaf will be soft and pliable for forever.
