You get one wire, then attach it to another wire in a box, then you get some LEDs and some batteries then glue it all together and put the weed in

Um, depends on the wiring required for the piece, but you should be fine. Just use common sense, and if it requires soldering or wiring and you have no experience, then don't attempt it.
Practice what? Wiring? Soldering? If you don't have experience I'd google some beginners tutorials on wiring and soldering shit man. I thought you were into making stuff? If that doesn't include electric stuff, that isn't going to help with an electronic device. But who knows if you even need to do any of that? Won't know til you google a tutorial.
