First plant looks to be sativa if I'm not mistaken and second one seems to be a little droopy I'm open to any ones suggestions. They are both bagseed mids first grow hope they are both females lol.

  2. Good luck with your grow dude! I've got a few around the same age at the moment (a little younger - 2 days old). I'd say its too soon to be making assumptions about sativa/indica dominance, wait for them to get bigger. Also, as far as i've experienced from my three previous grows, males tend to look sativaish (tall/skinny compared to the others).

What kind of soil are you using? Hopefully it's not MG. In any case, I would add some perlite to your soil to help facilitate drainage.

What kind of lighting and how many watts are you using?

    GL with the grow bro

  3. Looks about normal

Hope there not males lol. That won't be fun for my first grow.

As for soil it's not MG lol don't remember the brand just some potting soil switching to FF this week.

Lights I have 4 26watt daylight cfls. Gonna need a better setup just lil low on cash.

  6. Haha yeah just wait and see in flowering what sex they are, anything before then is just mere conjecture.

As you prob know most of the potting soils you buy at places like wal mart, lowes, etc. are not very suitable for marijuana (unless its the organics choice). FFOF is a decent soil to use that many growers on these forums use, but personally i prefer "Roots Organic" soil a lot more, so if you can get a hold of that I would definitely recommend it.

As for your lighting, It will be fine for another week or two probably, but you definitely will want to get a few more bulbs (aim for 100w per plant, even though you can get away with less). I currently have 6 x 26w daylight cfls and 2 x 20w soft white cfls on my three 2day old sprouts. I will be adding another sprout in there as soon as it breaks the surface (4 sprouts in total) as well as another 3 x 26w daylight cfls and 1 x 20w soft white cfl.

More simply, in a few days i'll have almost 300w of CFLs on four young plants, and when it gets closer to flowering I will be getting a grow tent (flower room) and about 250+/- watts in t5 HO flouros. For flowering ill be using the HO t5 and cfl combo to get at least 400w for my four plants (given they are all female) as well as topping/LST/SCrOG. You should definitely look into these training methods to maximize your yield.

  7. Yea i think im going to start flowering real early on this one maybe in 2 weeks. i am going to look for roots organic this week hope i find it.

As for bulbs i think i have it together just need to organize my setup a little more so i can fit in a couple more bulbs.

I have been looking at some training methods i believe im going with LST and topping. Hope i dont mess it up lol :D.

Are you using any nutes if u are then which ones and how ofen are u watering?

  8. Wow that is early flowering! Fastest I have ever flowered is about four weeks old (since they sprout). Good luck getting the roots, I get it at my local hydro store.

As for LST and topping I will be doing that myself and then adding a SCrOG (my 1st ever) once I have established a decent amount of tops. Here is a good guide i found on the 4-way LST and top method: http://www.thcfarmer.com/forums/f6/lbhs-4-way-lst-tutorial-topping-sub-tutorial-24825/
You should really check it out and give it a go, I definitely will be using this method myself.

As for nutes, I've always just kept it simple. I have one bottle of Fox Farm's Grow Big which I use during veg (usually start light feeding at about 3 weeks - 1/4 or 1/8 recommended strength), and then I have one bottle of Fox Farm's Tiger Bloom which I use during flowering.

As for how often and how much nutes to give, well this is something i'm not even sure about. I would say start at 1/4 or 1/8 recommended dose and slowly work up from there. I usually add nutes to my water every second or third watering. IMO it is much better to under nute than over nute, as nuteburn is no joke and causes a lot of problems and hassle.

Good luck mate and update pics when you can

  9. That soil needs to have drainage amendments in it. It is holding too much water and probably not getting enough air to the roots. If you must use this soil add perlite and peat moss to make it a bit more airy and drain better. Do this if/when you transplant to a bigger container.
