I've been reading about growing for a couple days now, but i have one question... How can i set up the cfl bulbs in a grow box? Is it a must to have a lamp for each bulb ? I dont understand how to power the bulbs, is their like an adapter for lightbulb to electricity socket? do i need any wires? really confused here....
lol, if u have a basic understanding of electricity u can figure this out, however if u dont...i wouldnt fuck with it at risk of shockin urself, id just get some clap lamps if i were you. edit: i mean clamp lamps lol
http://cache1.bigcartel.com/product_images/2265821/adapter.jpg about 2.50 at home depot. get a power bar (you can even get a power bar with a built in timer), mount it on your cab, plug your light(s) in. simple as that. edit: you can also get something similar to this http://cms.whathifi.com/Images/119780415bli.jpg (best picture i could find, the ones at home depot are on a 45 degree angle, which is a little better imo), and screw that into the other fixture to get 2 lights from one outlet. also about 2.50. thats what ive got for my set up, and its worked well so far, not to mention it was beyond easy to do. another edit: heres a way better link of what im trying to explain http://www.420magazine.com/gallery/data/829/medium/DSC00393.JPG
Word of wisdom: CFLs have to be kept max. of 4 inches from your lights or they'll start stretching. I like mine in the 2-3 inch range.
