How Do I Obtain Shroom Growboxes?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by TheSmoker, Dec 20, 2006.

  1. So I've recently delved into the world of shrooms and have become quite fanatic about it. Today I decided that I wanted to buy a grow box of cubensis (having no experience in growing) and was heartbroke to learn that it is restricted to ship to the US.

I live in Oregon and shrooms are near impossible to come by. It's only about once a year people start stocking up, and even then there's a limted window because they sell like mad.

    So my question is:
Where can I obtain a cubensis grow box, and how do I it?

Any and all help would be much appreciated. I only started an account on here just to ask that question.

    :p

  2. hey there is this place in seattle you can order them from cubensise but i jsut cant rmemeber the site right now but as soon as i find it i will let you know dude i wanna grow them to.

  3. There are growboxes all over the net. And spores are legal, so if you order a mushroom growing box with a pre-mixed substrate thats sterilized, all you have to do is get yourself a syringe of some spores from one of the 1000s of sites. Its not illegal to grow mushrooms, just the psychoactive ones, so its kind of like ordering hydro equipment for pot.

  4. Close but not exactly, u can grow and possess psychoactive shrooms legally, its illegal for them to be dried or prepared in some way,......

  5. You sure...
    http://www.erowid.org/plants/mushrooms/mushrooms_law.shtml

It's right on the top under U.S. Federal Law

"Psilocybin mushrooms are not specifically named in the U.S. federal scheduling system, however their two primary active chemicals Psilocybin and Psilocin are both Schedule I in the United States. This means they are illegal to manufacture, buy, possess, or distribute (sell, trade or give) without a DEA license. Fresh and dried psilocybin mushrooms are considered containers of Psilocybin and Psilocin, making them illegal to possess as well.

Because spores contain no psilocybin or psilocin, they are legal to sell and possess (in all states except California, Georgia, and Idaho). But in most states, it is illegal to cultivate or propogate spores into mycelium since mycelium generally contains both psilocybin and psilocin.

Some states in the U.S. and some countries have ruled that growing psilocybe mushrooms does not qualify as 'manufacturing' a controlled substance (psilocybin)."

Maybe you're in one of the lucky states.

  6. I have a mushroom grow video and you dont need a specal box to grow them in....All you need a is a bg tupperware box or something of that nature! Seems alot easier to go to Wal-mart and pick one of those up for a couple $$$! IDK thats just what I think...Just make sure that you steralize it befor you start!

  7. Oh and it is legal to get spores in all but 3 states in the U.S I unforyunatly am in one of those states Oregon is not one of them!!

  8. Wow, thanks y'all.
I found out that in Oregon it is legal to posess spores and to grow them to the mycelium stage. However, it is illegal to posess dried shrooms and to grow shrooms to their full mushroom stage.

But the links provided and advice given will be well enough for me to start harvesting soon.

    Thanks again.
