How do I measure if my ashcatcher is 14mm or 18mm?

  1. Basically I have an ashcatcher that belonged to a bong which broke. So I'm replacing the bong and figured I should get one that fits with my ashcatcher. But I can't tell exactly what size it is. Do I measure from the top (A) or the bottom (B)? I attached an image to show what i mean. And do i measure it from the inside of the tube or outside? Thanks!

    i think its the bottom

edit: i've been trying to google the question, but nothing is really coming up.

edit#2: I'm almost positive you measure what you labeled "b", but make sure you measure starting from the outside of the joint, not the inside of it... if that makes any sense.

  3. Ok thanks, I think it's 14mm then

  4. You could just find a bong in which you know the measurements and try to fit it on it and see if it works

  5. are you kidding me???

Its the same size at the top as it is at the bottom. u will be able to tell the joint size just by looking at it

If that is your A/c then i'd say its 18

  6. Yeah, unless the bowl is just really small, its 18.

  7. stick your pinky in the hole, if you can't, its 14mm, if you can a bit, its 18mm.

  8. Looking at the pic i would say 18.8 but best way use your finger :smoking:

  9. No, it's very clearly no the same size. on the top it's 19mm, on the bottom it's like 14.5mm. it's not the same at all. and that's not my A/C. but 'm thinking it is 18mm it looks pretty big.
