So, this isn't mine, but here's a pic to give for elaboration: http://www.grasscity.co.uk/img/products/glass_spoon_pipe_clear_bead_f.jpg So at the bottom of the bowl area, some black crap gets stuck at the bottom after a while. I cleaned my pipe THREE times thoroughly with Isopropyl alcohol, and go the job done except for that stuff at the bottom. I can't unscrew it or anything, the only way to reach it is through the main hole or choke. Anybody have any ideas? It's not a big deal, I'd just like my pipe to look cleaner.
put some salt and iso in a zip lock and shake it around for a while, then rinse it out with hot water. if all else fails, get a paper clip and scrape that bad boy
Let it sit all night in iso and then shake for about a 30seconds to a 1 min. and then if that dont work get a paperclip and scape it out
I already tried the iso and salt. Alright, paperclip time. Thanks for the reply, I was just seeing if there was an easier way. Guess not. This is what I get for going to weeks without cleaning it. Oh laziness, you defeat me every time.
put it in a cup of water and microwave it for a 45sec-1 min. let it cool a little before touching it and becarefull not to cool the glass too fast. but all the resin should float right out of it
I did the paperclip suggestion. It's not ALL gone, but I'd say a good 95% is. Good enough for me at the moment.
Pour some rubbing alcohol (or drinking alcohol lol, it'll work fine too) into the spoon and let it sit for a while. Next grab a q-tip, bend the tip to an ~90 degree angle. Stick it in the mouthpeace, and use the q-tip to scrub the inside of your spoon. Dump the alcohol and rinse with water. Make sure you rinse it, cause you don't wanna inhail alcohol or ethanol lol.
