I toped this little lady and now its looking like im going to have 5 or 6 new nodes. I know its 2 when their topped and possibly 4 when FIMed but this one was just topped ( for the second time I will add ) and its looking like 6 new nodes. Im a rookie so if this is normal then im wondering how to do it again. seems like this would be a good technique to increase yields but again im a rookie so maybe not or everybody would be doing it. thanks for the help
ya that's good info. not what I was looking for but good info. im saying on the top, right where I cut it there is 6 new leaf sets and there is going to be 6 new branches from the 1 cut. ill show more pics when it grows and is more visible.
Looks like you have 5 fan leaves coming out of the same point of the main stem. I've had plants put out 3 leaves per node, never 5. I believe your plant may have the genetic mutation known as "Whorled Phyllotaxy" http://growwiki.thegrowcorner.com/index.php?title=Whorled_Phyllotaxy
there it is. that's whats going on thanks doc. this ones stem is not spiraled but it is a little bent. it started with 2 leaves then 4 then 5 so I should not have topped it and maybe more. ill wait and see what it does. sux that its probably not female but it is my smallest widow so its all good.
