How did my wax get like this?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by SleepyStoner1997, Jul 8, 2017.

  1. So I bought some wax a while ago and it was like the wax I always buy. Like sticky, unpurged, like honey type wax that is shatter like when cold but room temp is a soft sticky wax.

Since it's unpurged because I smoke I'd put some in my nector collectee dish then heat the bottom with a torch to purge most of the butane.

I put a small amount like .3 in a silicon puck and put it in my car and I forgot it was there. When I found it the next day the wax was not waxy anymore. It looked like a live resin type. I'll show you in pics. It's like a brown sugar consistently now. (The blaskish blob in the 2nd pic)

    How did this happen?

  2. I know it looks black I the pic but it's the lighting. It's really a darker yellow but not black

  3. It may be similar to the way honey crystalizes after long storage. If it is, then it should not effect the smoke or quality.

  4. It's way easier to Handle in this form, can I reproduce this?

  5. Got a toaster oven?
