How cold can my sprouts handle outside?

    Being in a northern state its just finally starting to warm up. How cold can 3" sprouts handle? Can they take a frost?

    I was thinking once its 40 at night things should be safe, but can they handle lower temps?

    srry to say but i think they cant im not sure but i believe most plants need <light> which u have, and heat <which u dont have> anyways thats my opion

    Cover them with a black sheet at night to prevent frost. I don't rembember what they are called but they are black sheets you put over plants to keep them from being killed by frosts.

    well not real practical when the plants are in a secret plot of woods that I don't want to be found.
