how can we arm ourselves?

I say posters etc everywhere we go with a fact sheet. i also think this is an important topic, becouse for one, we gotta do something about it and not just sit back and watch it happen

 

democrats are gonna take over in november or if not then they will in 2008 and we will see a lot of change... hopefully sooner than later... the mass of people who believe the governments studies from the 50s-80s need to be educated somehow on the positive effects of weed and the new studies need to be more widley available... how i dont know.. if weed was legalized a lot of violence and hard drug use would go down.. just look at amsterdam..

Heres the thing though-

The goverment could care less these days, legal or illegal it makes little difference to them.

Big corperations are the ones helping to keep marijuana illegal. If it's legal they are going to loose so,SO much money and have more competition.

EDIT:: I do agree though that something needs to be done soon- Man I'm not a criminal for smoking pot is all I'm saying

Yes, there would be more competition, but in our economy, the more compitition that there is, the more choices in a free trade that we have. Most of our businesses strive only because of compitition between other companies.. If there wasn't any competition, we wouldn't have much choice in the products that we buy.

hahaha think about it man. Ideally comapanies do not want other companies around-consumers do. As consumers things are cheaper/services improve/customer service means something if companies have competitors.

Get rid of competition 1 company becomes a monopoly and is able to do what ever they want- don't like the prices/services/customer service- deal with it, what are you going to do about it?

 

You must have mis read or i didn't clearly state it, but thats what im trying to say.. I rather there be more competition than none at all.. I was stating towards the other guy that said that legalizing it would cause more competition and be a bad thing.. however i think it would be a good thing because of more competition between compainies and it would give us more choices to buy things.

 

The best you can do is VOTE and make sure to get as many people as you know to vote too, especally for libertarian or independant canidates. Focus on local elections, if your local congress and senate begins introducing legislature to decriminalize it'll be one of those first steps towards legalizeation, plus it shows your state's senators and congress men what your state is really thinking so they'll have to push those issues on a national level to try to keep themselves in office.

this topic is right up my ally! i completly agree with it. somthing needs to be done here in the uk too. lets take to our capitals with splifs on and banners and posters and it would be like some mass world wide weed revolution! it would be on the news and everythig!

monopolies are illegal in the us so that would be no problem. we arent a free market economy we have a mixed economy based on the free side of the continum. so govt intervention could be done to make sure not just 1 co controlls all the bud.

Anyway all of us young people need to fucking vote and just get out there and join NORML! We all need to be active....shit I"m looking up my NORML chapter right now
