How can I vent my heat?

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by AntonROUGH, Oct 9, 2011.

  1. This is my sun room that I plan on converting into my new grow room. Only problem is none of the windows open so I can't vent the heat out of them... There is 2 doors. One that leads outside that you can see in the first picture that is a glass door so that dosent help. and the other door is a sliding glass door... So I'm completely stumped with this one...

  2. first i would consider cleaning...

please take a picture of the window behind the exterior door... it appears to open?

bare minimum you need to cover the all windows if you intend to grow in there...

and your going to have to get air in and out... so cut a hole in the ceiling or out a window... if the windows don't open it looks like they did at one time... make it open again

  3. Yeah it's my buddys house.. Shits a disaster. Going to get the whole room cleaned out in a few days. Im a little worried because i have a feeling that the room is going to get really cold in the winter... Guess lights ON is going to be when.. Suns off.. ;) haha. Either way im prolly going to end up foil taping or pand filming the windows and most likely just put a tent in there because i dont think he wants to convert the whole room.. Unfortunatley.
Just realized the windows do open! So im going to crack one of the windows and put a white painted piece of plywood over the window and then cut out a 6in. Hole for the ducting..

  4. cold weather is nice man... better cold than hot, especially with a hydro grow... if you have concrete floors i'd put the hydro buckets right on the floor... awesome
