how can i tell if a plant is stretched?

  1. I keep hearin "stretched" but what is it, how do u notice it and what causes it?
     
  2. stretched is what happens when your light is too far from your plants, or your plants arent getting the right kind of light in the right quantities.
    post a picture so GC can tell you how stretched it is or if your just an over worrying parent.

    check out this guy's post..... he's got pics of stretched plants... it's in the first page of the hydroponic growing thread.... that's what you do not want to happen.... keep your lights as close to the plant as possible.... put your hand under it until you feel a nice comfortable warmth.... that way they won't stretch
     
  4. Each new node section will start to grow further apart than the old growth nodes did. what I mean is your branches won't be so tight together and this decreases yield.
