So, I have washed my piece over and over again. It gets clean. But at the bottom, there is shit gunked up on the sides. I've tried ISO and salt. I've tried dishwashing detergent. ^Should work. Ive had real good luck with rubbing alcohol and kosher salt but every piece is different you know? I usually go overboard with the salt for good measure too.

I know you've tried iso, but I'd try 99% iso if you haven't already. That shit nukes res when combined with salt.
+ For some reason white rice + ISO gets the thick grunge out really well for me, but that is only efficient for bongs and larger pieces where you can get grains of rice into the piece itself. For a pipe or smaller bubbler i'd just do salt+ISO. Or simple green
If you plug up your piece and fill it with Grunge-Off, that should work. I soak all my glass in it. It is re-usable and rinses off completely with just warm water. If that doesn't work, I'd be concerned about what you're smoking. If you can get it off the glass, then how is it affecting your lungs? Be careful, dude.
