I am trying to determine how large to create my grow room. I have a basement that is 6 feet high so im going to have to keep my plants low to the ground. But i can basically build the length and width of the room to my liking. I am doing one room for veg and one room for flowering. I will have 6 plants in each. I am also planning on eventually using two cooled hood1000w HPS lights in my flowering room. unsure about lights in vegetative room. Given these factors, approximately what dimensions should i use for my rooms?
Take the foot print of each light that you buy the seller will tell you what they suggest for light coverage. Shrink the given number down by a ft or two both directions. Bam that's your grow room size dimensions. As for veg go either 600w mh or if you have the budget led is fine for veg and makes less heat. Get a t5 setup for clones so you can cut down on future crop cycle start up costs. Some nutes, a ph pen, a tds pen, a good growing medium, some oscillating fans, and your in business.
