this is about 2 weeks from seed

  2. are thoes nutes under the plant?

  3. yeah, little food sticks

  4. You should take those things out of the soil. Marijuana doesn't need any nutes for about the first 3 weeks of its life. You could nute burn em

  5. Get those food sticks outta there quick... QUICK!!!

You 1st plant looks nute burned, your second looks ok... for now. I have a sneaking suspicion that fert will burn that one too.

You can consider yourself as having 2 sets of true leaves.

Get that fertilizer outta there and keep rockin, good luck.

  6. I did an experiment... put nutes in half of them, and the nute ones are literally 4x bigger...

  7. dude you were right... i couldnt get them out tho ;( now its dead :((( or on its way

  8. how do i "flush" them ??

  9. flush with 2x-3x the pot size, how big are ur pots? also, u would want to flush with ph 6.5-6.8 water if possible

  10. You werent really too far into the growth cycle, I recomend removing the food sticks, flushing your soil good and starting over.

If you want a seedling to grow fast....

Well I use bat guano =)

  11. hey I forgot to add if your a first time grower, why not make yourself a journal in the journal section, I'm about where you are in terms of how old my plants are, I'll keep an eye on your grow and help you out...that is if you make a journal.

  12. They are about the size of party cups. What do I do? Do I take the plant/roots out?? Ahh :(

  13. I'm still considering your plants. How many plants do you have...? Do you have more soil available now? maybe I can help you save them with some quick thinking!

  14. theres 7 and yeah more soil is ready, prolly only need to fix 3 or 4 of them, but i dont have any more containers

  15. Okay, what you want to do is get some newspaper. Lay the newspaper out on a surface in which you can work on. The newspaper is to keep you from making a mess, and its not likely to damage any exposed roots.

You need to replant them right away inside bigger pots. You say that they are roughly the size of party cups, and if thats true then the root system should encompass the entire volume of the dirt. Remove the plants from their pots.

If you do not know how to do this, I will tell you my technique. I turn the plants inside their pots keeping my fingers on the surface of the soil so it doesnt simly fall out. Put the stem of her between two of your fingers as you cup your hand over the surface of the pot and ease the soil + the plant out slowly, catching it in your cupped hand.

Once you've gotten your plants out of those pots, throw the old dirt away and get rid of those food sticks. NEVER USE FOOD STICKS FOR MARIJUANA!!!

Transplant them into the larger pots with fresh soil, leaving as much old dirt behind as you can and then flush the new soil out with a large volume of water. Check your tap water and see if it has a ph of atleast 5.8 - 6.8 and if it does you can simple use your bathtub to flush the soil clean of stagnant nutes.

Let me tell you now...I dont know what type of soil you used, but any decent soil has plenty of nutes to sustain any plant for atleast a month, ussually 3 months.

When you do get around to using nutrients, dont use sticks or dry mix. NEVER USE MIRACLE GROW.

As a first time grower I'd recomend using schults plant food plus 10-15-10. Its a blue liquid that comes in a small bottle with a dropper and detailed instructions on when to nute and how much you add to the water you nute them with. The best thing is that it works well and its cheap... a 6 dollar bottle makes like 200 gallons of nute.

Another thing! I noticed your soil looks really wet. Young plants should have dry periods so their roots can stretch to the bottom soil of your pot where the soil stays wet the longest. If you constantly water your plants and always keep the soil fully hydrated then they wont grow a good root system and therefor will grow very slowly. Dont starve them of water though, the top of the soil shouldnt be dry for more than 2 days. If they look sorta droopy they may either be resting or in need of water, water them and they should perk up in a few hours.

WELLL thats all I gotta say, good luck.

  16. Scratch new containers since you dont have any. Just replant them into the same containers with as much fresh soil as possible.

  17. thank you so much man! wait i dont understand the part about flushing with a bath tub.. am i putting them in there?

  18. no, its just easy to get a large amount of water with easy drainage in a bath tub. Flush, like when you flush your toilet, you flush out the nute residue and build up in the soil with water, gallons of water, but you really dont flush until flowering and by then you'd have it in a gallon or 5 gallon pot and it wouldnt fit anywheres except the bathtub. If you say your pots are about the size of party cups, maybe you can use a sink.

With a slow stream of water, flush your plants in their pots with roughly a gallon of water each.

  19. and this is once ive transplanted into the new ... err new soil pots right?

  20. Ok it went pretty well! thanks for all your help, I'll let you know how they do over the next few days if youd like. Thanks again man I appreciate it
