I set up a little grow space at home but now realize that the 400W system I got is too powerfull and hot for the small space I have (2 square ft). Does anyone know if you can put a 150W or 250W HPS bulb into a system designed for a 400W HPS bulb (The Nightfighter)? Cheers. Hat
generally this is frowned upon .... use the recomended wattage. a friend of mine recently "aquired" a street light , the ballast is rated 400 but there was only a 250 in it .... put the 400 in it n everything is beautiful.... id build a sealed hood with an exhaust fan....
go buy a sheet of alluminum and bend it to shape and then rivet it together. Then seal all the cracks with high-temp silicone and put a piece of tempered glass in the botton. Tap a hole for the mogul and another for a ducting flange.
