  1. ok i live in a semi-small town and all we have here is a menards and a home depot...wat im asking is wat good lights can i get for a resonable price at these places?? im using a grow box that is fairly small (its a converted dishwasher) and i still need some lights for it..hlp me out plz

  2. Sounds like you're in the D. A dishwasher is probably best using cfls. Good choice on corvert box, I like it. i'd like to see pics when done. Get some light bases (about $2 a piece at Improvement stores) Get some 2 way splitters for each light base. Get bulbs to go in number of sockets desired and wire it up. Base and splitter horrible sketch.

  3. so these cfls and splitters are all available at low grade shops like menards and home depot??

  4. Go on the HD website, enter your zipcode, and search "light fixture", and you will find both in the results. go price low to high.

  5. M-Nards has only the brown version of the splitter from what Ive seen. But the lamp bases will be cheaper at Nards.

For normal dishwasher size, I'd say at least 10 26watt bulbs. Walmart has 6500k daylight CFLs in 26watts. Home improvement stores have them too, but they cost more. Get the 26 watt warm white from any place. Get 5 of each and 5 lamp bases and 5 splitters

Total of about $75 after tax.

Wire it all up with a 12ga grounded replacement cord. Plug on one end, bare wires on the other.

I assume you found it all OK?

  6. Check out the light guide in my sig. It explains the lights a little bit more.
