Hoosiers: New Part of Indiana Marijuana Movement Forming! Activists Wanted!

Discussion in 'Marijuana Legalization' started by Samabaker, Sep 21, 2009.

  1. I am a journalism/poli-sci/int'l relations major starting an Indiana University-Bloomington marijuana organization called Lokal420 at IU. We will be a branch of Lokal420, a group in Chicago fighting for reform in Illin. Even though the group I am forming is in Bloomington, I want to coordinate with the current leaders of the anti-prohibition movement in Indiana and also draw new support, establishing a permeating presence throughout Indiana's towns. I feel the best way to get reform in Indiana is to get the people's support. We need to get support for reform and have people letting their state representatives know they want the marijuana laws changed. The representatives will vote how their people want them too if they people push it, and it can't hurt to inform our representatives about recent marijuana research and socioeconomic reports. The governor gives neither a yes nor no on legalization, saying only that he needs the general assembly to pass a bill as a sign of state support before he can even do anything about the issue.

  2. Iam Unkle mike the founder of Lokal420. I would like to welcome you to our pot smoking union. Check me out on twitter .Keep up the fight.shirts hoody's ect... will be offered soon. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Unkle mike

  4. Welcome to the war! I'm Indyskywolf, aka Neal Smith. I'm Vice Chairman of the Indiana Chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (INORML). We've been building a base of support for many years.

We welcome new members and new allies. We're all in this together, and the only way we're going to win is if all of us pull together in one direction, speaking with a loud voice.

Indiana NORML's next meeting is January 9th at 12:00 Noon at 3601 N. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN. Let's get it together!

  6. Hi, my name is &*$&%@, i live in Indiana and have recently started to try using marijuana as a way to cut down on my Dr.'s prescribed prescriptions of oxy-codone...my milligram count had peaked at 155mg/day...which is dangerous, it makes me less hungry which i have lost some weight and really messes with my bladder making it hard to go when i need to...i was in a accident of sorts almost three years ago this coming April where i had two vertebrae crushed via a falling one ton garage door...i have had three surgeries since (one on my right shoulder and two on my neck)...so i have been dealing with this for some time, and only being 25 i don't want to be taking opiates all my life and never amount to shit...i fully support this bill (sb192) and hope that the people of Indiana will show their support in a legalization process...so far , since i have been trying this new plan i have cut down from the previous 155mg to 100mg to 80mg per day on a good day...can't argue the fact that it is doing it's part.:smoke:....the little emoticon looks like me when i am as close to pain free as i can get...lol

  7. Hey &*$&%@, I'm glad you're trying to get away from those opiates. Don't forget that eating medicated food is also a very good way to manage pain-you'll get more benefits when it has a chance to pass through the liver. Tinctures, butter, oils...way to go for chronic pain and overall pain management. cj:wave:

  8. a couple months Before Indiana SB 192 was written, i wrote a letter to all state politicians (sometime between dec. and feb.), asking that the laws be at the very least reviewed and modified if not made decriminalized/legalized/industrialized for hemp usage (again)( back to 1942 bitches!). now i am sure i am NOT the sole reason this bill happened, but it feels good to know that i was a part of the start of a movement, and that i actually did something proactive rather than reactive whining and complaining.
