  1. Hey!
So this will be my first time growing. I expect to be germinating my seeds tommorow. I just figured I would show you guys a couple pictures of what I will be using for this grow. Some pictures may look familiar because I posted them on my previous account (forgot my password). I will be using the soil mix posted in the picture below its a water only mix what do you guys think? Also I will be using these two 120 mm pc fans one I'm just now thinking they may be too big for this cab.. Opinions? That little usb PC fan I bought off amazon for $7 it's super quiet and has a speed controller I'll be using that as my fan inside the cab just to move around some extra air and blow on the plants.. I will be growing HSO blue dreams just one plant...Reason for me making this thread is to get some help along the way, and a some feedback/advice... I'm all ears! Oh and don't mind the wires and sawdust I'm going to get everything cleaned and neat later today ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1412606932.938846.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1412607042.459934.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1412607066.980021.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1412607094.532002.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1412607146.852521.jpg

I use FoxFarm Light warrior and ocean forest mixed together 50/50 so yes, thats a good soil mix
As for nutes, you wont need any except maybe a little cal mag until flower. During flower you want a flower nute and cal mag. I use botanicare Pure blend Pro Bloom soil and Cal Mag during flower. Those 2 nutes and that soil is all you need. These are my results from using that

  10. Am I the only one who noticed the title of the book holding the pot up? :D

  11. Haha I know the books a little ironic
So I went to check my temos this morning it was at 102 not good I don't think my pc fan can exhaust the heat from that carbon filter man I'm E
Bummed not sure what todo. I might have to make a different kind of carbon filter

  12. You can use two pc fans for the filter just put 1 at the front of the filter and the other at the end one sucking one blowing

  13. I like your setup it's very simple! I shouldn't have gotten too technical with my box.
So a little update I had to take the 100 w cfl out I woke up this morning and my temp was at 105! I had to germinate another seed. So I just changed my lighting to one 13 w cfl "60 watt equivalent" and one 23 wat cfl "100 watt equivalent" I'm pretty sure this is enough to take me through veg my temps are 83-88
I'm just scared when it comes time to flower I was going to use led but I wonder if there hotter than cfls? Anyone know. I'm not sure if it's my light trap on my intake blocking air from comming in because I have the baffles in the trap but I do feel airflow comming from it. I'm trying to think of a better way to trap the light and increase my airflow. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks! ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1412825326.492874.jpg

  14. Do u have a link to the light trap?

  15. LEDs runs a ton cooler. If there made by a good brand.
Some cheap ones are loud and will add a ton of heat (not as much as hps or mh).

You could get 1 200w lotus dule spectrum cfl for like 60. Or a 250 blue and 250 red cfl. Thoes 250w run about what your 100 did and that 23 together. So, you will need to figure out ventilation. 80+ with only 2 small cfls thats crazy man one of your fans isn't doing there job. From what i remember pc fans are like 10-20 cfm you don't have that much space so for sure you should be keeping good temps if there working good. Pulling through carbon or pushing with a pc fan is such a wasteful use of power. You could use ona or orange oil to hide the veging plants till you find a good filter. There's some cheap nice ones on eBay like 3x10 and they already have a fan on them small for pc grows not a big filter. If you want a link i can find one for you.
