HONEY on hookahs and joints work?

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by blacklighttoker, Jan 16, 2007.

  1. I toked with my friends hookah one time and he mixed honey with the weed so it would burn slower he also puts a little in his joints. does this really work and how much should i use with my hookah.

  2. There isn't a reason to post in different sections...

But like we said in the other thread.... Burnt sugar fumes are very dangerous, poisonous. It's a very unwise idea.....

And what should have come first: Welcome to the City!!! :smoking::hello:

  3. Well first off, DONT USE HONEY! Now im not a very agressive person, but I try to help people out the best I can, when sugar burns it crystalizes, which is also why if you make candy and it gets to hot it just turns to rock, and thats why chocolate can burn (Have tried :D, and works), so I know you dont want that in your lungs just resting. Well just my two cents.

  4. are you retarded? sugar fumes most definitely arent dangerous. when you put sugar on the stove it makes caramal. i dont know why anyone would put honey on their bud anyway but honey definitely isn't dangerous. wtf?

  5. wrong. sugar is dangerous when it crystalizes in your lungs. which it does when you're smoking a joint dipped in honey. I'm sure you could do it every day of your life and never notice anything bad, but it still isn't good for you.

  6. First of all, you're wrong. Secondly, don't fucking talk to Durban like that.

  7. Pwnt ;)

  8. I'm sick of all the hostility and people talking down to each other. I'm gonna start handing out -rep left and right. Like right now.

  9. But does it dipping it in honey make for a slower burning joint?

  10. I'm sure honey would make it burn slower, but it will FUCK YOUR LUNGS UP. DON'T smoke honey.

  11. where I am from we make honey blunts all the time and as far as I can tell I ain't blowing sugar cubes up as I cough lol. sry just had to throw that in there. you can burn a 4g blunt for up to an hour. if there is an illadvised effect I wouldn't recognize it. the weed in the blunt catches alot if the impurities and the sugars crystalies on the end and hense the long smoking experience. I can find it plausable that smoking sugar products can be harmful, but I am going to need some type of scientific backing before I believe anyone. when smoking through a bong, we use honey and there is nothing floating on the water after we are done. PEACE!

  12. Honey? everybody knows dipping your j in embalming fluid is the most balla shit eva.

  13. there is a point that I am not willing to crass and I believe you just defined it lol

  14. if you evaporate the water in the bong after you smoke honey through it, yourll see the crystals from the sugar, if it wasnt for the water, thats what would be in your lungs.

  15. have you done this. after evaporating the water and there is a reside, do you think it is possible that that is the impurities from the weed also. sry had to play devil's advocate on that one. you will also see the impurites from the water like chlorine and flouride

  16. All meat no potato is totally right. But if you smoked pure sugar through a bong then let the water dry, there would be crystalized sugar all on the inside of your chamber. and trust me, that shit is not good for you. Your lungs can get rid of all the resin in them slowly, but sugar will stay there for your entire life. and if enough builds up i'm sure it could be really dangerous... I'm actually gonna go look this up and see if I can find some scientific proof. :D

    "Special Information:
In the event of a fire, wear full protective clothing and NIOSH-approved self-contained breathing apparatus with full facepiece operated in the pressure demand or other positive pressure mode "

    found on this website: http://www.jtbaker.com/msds/englishhtml/l1044.htm

Thats basically saying, if sugar ever catches fire run like fuck and try not to breathe. Smoking sugar is DANGEROUS.

  17. buy distilled water, put it in a clean bong, smoke honey (and nothing else) through it, empty water into a pan, evaporate the water till its gone, you will be left with crystals. and you cant say thats chlorine or anything because its distilled water so it wont have impurities like tap water.

that said, im not 100% sure that it would crystalize in your lungs, it will be in your lungs, but im not sure if it was crystalize, or if there is enough moisture in the lungs for it to be disolved. either way, yourll still end up with shit in your lungs, im not sure what effect it will have, may not have any effect, but chances are it will have a negative effect, especialy if done repeatadly or with large ammounts of honey.

  18. This is an alarming thread to me, seeing as I used to put honey on every blunt I smoked for about a year (1-3 blunts daily at that point). My friend also picked up some Shisha from a Middle Eastern section of NYC this weekend and it had been dipped in honey by whover made it. Needless to say I also smoked some of the shisha. Thanks for the info blades, I will not be putting honey on anything but food from now on.

  19. I see where you are coming from lamorea and I am not saying that smoking sugar is good for your health. just want to get that out in the open for starters. honey is made with sucrose not lactose. sucrose is a dirivitive from cane and sugar beets. ok now moving on, if you look up sucrose on the MSDS you will see that it states "Inhalation: Not expected to be a health hazard. Nuisance dust. Inhalation of high concentrations may cause coughing and upper respiratory tract irritation."

although I have posted this info for some reason I do not feal this conversation will ever end. Oh well, I lve a good debate. +rep for kicking it with me Lame

  20. when it says inhalation it means if you inhale sugar, not sugar fumes. sniffing sugar burns but it doesnt kill you :S when i was in like grade 4 we used to snort pixy sticks haha.
