I'm sure most of you heard about the discovery of the skeletal remains on Flores island in Indonesia that were quickly dubbed "The Hobbit" by the media. I remember seeing a few programs where some of the scientists who discovered the remains were suggesting that it was a new hominid sub species while other's said it was a deformity based on disease. Of course the shows ended saying more testing needed to be done. Well Nova's new programs called Alien From Earth goes through some of the testing that was done and it seems like the skeletal remains are in fact a new species being called homo floresiensis. Thought this is amazing and want to hear what all you science and nature heads think.
