Hello, Recently I was browsing this forum on some intuition on smoking since I've been an avid smoker for almost a year now (whoo!). I wanted to share with y'all a new device I made to smoke some good green out of. I got the idea when I was looking over Toker Tools and a guy showed how to make a percolater using perscription pill bottles (I'll add your link later). Anyway, items used: Powerade Bottle Hot gluegun Bendeble straws Three prescription pill bottles Water Sharpie It hits very smoothly if you add ice to the lowest chamber, although a bit hard to suck, I 100% prefer this apparatus over the seasonal bowls right now since I've been using them for way tooo long. As you can see what I ended up making. Please rate and thanks for stopping by! Photo's:
You're gonna need more perc'ing than that to make it worth it. And looks like a PAIN to change the water after use. Your gluing is good. Can't see any globs. But try to use a real bowl or stem.
The changing of the water isn't as hassling as it seems, although I could do alot more work on making a system where I can screw on each chamber or something. Food for thought for the next model haha. Anyway, I'm quite interested in why you stated that I will need more percolators than that to make it worth it. Can you please explain? Thanks for your input
I was scrolling down, and going down the tower i was saying "okay, okay, okay, not the worst ive seen" Then i saw the bowl...
The bowl is actually a metal insert that comes with a screwable cap, and I just fit it into a long tube. The cap is so it doesn't cherry and roast consistently, although I don't use it. The bowl is made for smoking and everything, just rigged it to pass the green into the water. Not sure why everyone's hating, get's the job done. Lol.
Wow, someones trying to become the next McGyver. Im officially listing you as the one person i want to be trapped with me on a desert island @ OP.
It's an eyesore. It sickens me, yet, it serves its purpose and was probably fun to make. You're a winner for the gumption alone. Well done, sir.
Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm working on making a slider currently where I can just attach my glass blunt to the end and use it as a bowl. Otherwise, I might just buy an L-pipe and stick it into the bottle. I'm currently working on transforming the lower chamber as well. Instead of a Powerade bottle, I'm trying to make it completely medicinal and use a large Vitamin C 500 tablet bottle. Can anyone suggest any improvements or tips? Also, why did you suggest I should build more prescription-bottle percolators? Do the two thus far not even make any difference?
87% of people who die of lung cancer have plastic detected in their lungs. I'll let your imagination do the rest
How exactly am I getting plastic in my lungs though? The weed is burned in a metal cap and the smoke is transferred through plastic into water which is then cooled. Where would I be getting any of this plastic into my lungs, if it's coolest through three chambers of water. So wouldn't that mean that if the plastic melted, it would then change states from gas back into solid because of the temperature change through cooling?

Yeah they're fun to make and you can appreciate the work you spent, but I'd never give up glass for plastic....
Maybe I should have posted my intent of making this, that would clear things up. Anyway, I ordered a vape about a week ago and it's gonna be here in another week. I don't have my glass bowl anymore, so I wanted to come up with a home-made piece that is fancy and effective enough to get me through the days until my vape comes in. I thought this was effective. Guess y'all don't really agree haha. What I changed: So I took out that plastic stem out completely and I hot-glued a socket to the side of the bottle where the stem used to be. The smoke from the socket doesn't travel through water in the first chamber, but there is water underneath to cool it with the surface area and water vapor temperature which is cooler than the air around it. Anyway, I thought this would be safer, reading all the comments about inhaling plastic and using it. The socket is made out of steel. Comments?
