So last week I had gone to Orietation for a processing plant. I had the job in the bag but with my luck I failed the drug test. I had been clean for over three weeks but oh well. I talked to the HR manager and she told me they had a strict no drug policy and I was out of luck.

Today I turn the news on and see that 5 people had been shot and 4 of them died arthe plant I had applied at during the shift I would've been working and in the same department.

What pisses me off though is that the shooter was a convicted violent offender with multiple arrest an burglary charges. 13 years in jail then again in May of 2012 he was arrested for auto theft.

Companies hire people like that but turn down people like me for a failed drug test of just THC. I even offered to be randomly tested because I needed a job that bad. Such BS IMO

It could've. It's creepier because they said the guys name and I saw him during my orientation. I would've been working on the same line as him...

He wasn't fired, he was still employed and just started shooting other workers.

    I'm in Fresno

I am lol. They'll probly hang up on me

  13. It pisses me off when people bring up criminal records. Yes drug testing sucks but having criminals unemployable just pushes them back to crime. Think a little more complex please.

So you think it was ok for the workers who were killed to be placed next to a KNOWN violent offender? 13 year stint in jail, got out and went back in for another violent crime, got out an got re arrested for grand theft in May 2012.

You think it's fair that the people around him had NO idea he was that violet. Until he went up to each if them an shot them behind the head one by one. They had NO idea what was going on because they had earplugs on.

Don't see how that's not an issue. I don't care about small petty things. But when it's a multiple offender it should become a problem.

But yeah I failed a minor drug test for THC and somebody like that gets hired there.

  15. So one person flips and everybody should know everything about everyone? You can choose to not smoke so you don't piss hot for an employment test, that's on you.

If you understood how a record follows you in every facet of life then you wouldn't be so pissy.

Like I said, there's. difference between violent offenders and non violent offenders.

They could've chosen not to commit the crime they did just as easy as I could've not smoked. Instead they decide to do the crime, and obviously not learn from their mistakes the first time.

I don't see how you can compare my medicinal use of bud to a multiple violent offenders record.

Again, having a small record for petty theft or a DUI is different from robbing people at gunpoint or with a weapon and stealing a car right after.

I don't see how employers can't see it's a risk to hire a violent guy like the one that went apeshit today.

One employee got shot in the Asscheek and survived, after he shot her he walked up to another guy and put the gun to his face and pulled the trigger but he was out of ammo. I won't be amazed if they sue the company for outing their lives in danger by hiring that guy.

  17. Commit a crime against others and one should expect the repercussions to follow them for life...that axiom has been around for all of human history.

old saying about heat and a kitchen comes to mind.

  18. Damn.... Weed saved your life man. Someone's watching out for you... ( Most likely Stoner Jesus)
