Hole size

  1. High guys,
Im planning my first outdoor crop, and i keep hearing how important the hole size is (bigger whole bigger plant). But i have very rich soil. So if i made my own super soil and mixed it in with native soil (pretty much 3-4 inches of humus) would the hole size matter?
tl;dr I have very good soil does the size of the hole matter?

  2. I'm guessing not as much as people who have poor soil.  Experiment.  Do one with a big hole and one without.

  3. If your ground soil is rich, plant in the ground. Save your hand mixed soil for indoors.

    Hole size doesn't matter.

This is the first time I am hearing about the hole size in an outdoor grow.  Can someone explain it to me?

The hole you are planning to grow the cannabis in? You should have tilled that land already, not worry about one area.  Learn to farm.  I'm learning myself.

  5. Okay thanks guys. The soil is pretty compact and has a lot of roots and small stones in it. The holes i have dug are about 2.5 deep by 1.5x1.5 ft. Should i dig around it just to loosen up the soil and get the roots out?

  6. That size hole should be perfect...
