Hole On Side of Spoon Bowl

    I have an extreme noobie question: What is the hole called that is on the side of the bowl for glass spoons? Is it just there to let air through for a better burn? When you light a pipe, you still light the top of it whether that little hole is there or not, right?

    Its called a carb.

    Put your finger/thumb over it as you light the bud and when you're ready to inhale, release and take in the smoke.

    its called a carb. put a finger over it when you first light the bowl, and inhale until you feel a burn in the back of your throat, or until you dont want to burn anymore bud. then remove your finger from the carb and pull through the rest of the smoke that is inside.

    The answer seems to of been answered.

    Its the carb/rush. It helps clear the bowl of smoke. So you get the most of the hit.

    i would say cover, then inhale, then release the carb, and continue to inhale but thats just how ive done it

    If your are talking about a pipe that lights for you it out there already uses butane and you push a bottom and there is a flame that shoots out over the bowl.
