Holding your smoke/vapes healthy?

  1. I've been reading alot of conflicting information regarding how long you should hold that smoke down in your lungs. I've always held my smoke in for at least 10 seconds or so before i exhale on the theory that the more smoke you absorb the more stoned you will get. But ive just heard that holding it down doesnt get you more stoned it just absorbs more toxins into your lungs. (ive tried not holding it and holding it and havnt noticed being any more or less stoned either way. but thats just me)
    what does everyone else reckon? inhale/exhale or inhale, hold and then exhale? and another thing, are vaporizers better for your lungs than smoking? because excess fluid in the lungs cant be too good for you right? oh, and one more thing! is it safe to hold down smoke you have inhaled from oil spots? seems to me there is alot more poison in oil which i guess is why i get headaches after smoking oil, to much iso floating around in the brain... so is it safe to hold down that oil smoke?
