hmmm, do tuscen halogen lightswork to grow

    can u grow with halogen lights, i got given a 150 watt flood light, was wondering if it will work? if nto im gunan buy 2 150s hps of ebay so id like a fast responce plzz :) much love

    Lalogen does not work for growing.

    Suggest you get one 150w MH and one 150W HPS for dual spectrum growing.

    Growing with HPS alone sucks

    Or even a more cost effective way of getting both spectrums is getting a phillips MH conversion bulb for your HPS system. But halogen lights produce the wrong spectrum for growing and produce way to much heatm making it bad on 2 counts.

    this is starting to anoy me, its like 100 people say differnt things,. img unan bid on a 250 watty hps light 2moro, i jstw anan greow 8 lowryder 2 hybrid plants, that will be fine yer?

    Dude, what's your problem? You ask a question and get two answers, not 100, both viable options. Remember that you asked the question, now some folks are here to help you asking nothing in return, your only response should be "thank you very much."

    Full spectrum lighting is best. You can achieve this with two separate lights or with a full-spectrum bulb in one light, there is not better "right" answer than that. You could also forego full spectrum and run MH or fluoro for veg and then HPS for flower.

    The important point is not to use halogen or flood lights.

    Yea, spanishfly has some good links.

    Personally, I think starting out with fluros then moving to HID (mh and/or eventually hps) is best.

    Good luck with whatever you choose

    cheers man yer i will, yer hps will be ok, im going for lowryder 2 seeds, get 10 on the go, and see what happens, ive grown chilli and chinease lantern plants before, and been aroudn growers for ages, so i got a few buddies around, of of me mates posts here too, eclipse design :)

    No thats just your opinion, check out either of my grows grown and flowered under hps, no problems..
