  1. So i always used to believe that everything you do, say, see, hear smell..everything..happens for a reason. Every single aspect of your life is pre-determined and layed out in front of you like an invisible rope pulling you to an inevitable conclusion to your life. But recently ibe been thinking about domething else. What if instead of ONE path chosen for you, there are multiple different ones with different endings, which you switch between at certain points inwhich, unbeknownst to you, you have to make a key dicision which alters which path you start to head down. For instence those old school adventure books where "if you wanna take a right down the road turn to page 47, if you wanna go left go to page 13". I then started thinking, well then how many of these decisions occur in your life? How many times can you switch between paths? Then it occured to me it'd only make sence that as the more youd move forward down a unknowingly chosen path, other paths would then cease to exsist since the choices youve made dont coincide with the predetermined outcome. If that was true, then those paths would slowly "die off" and no longer become an option. For example, if one path is you getting made to, lets say sarah, and at some point in your life you make a decision which makes that outcome impossible then sarah would meet someone else. This means that you and sarah shared a path and sarah and someone else shared a path. I then realized how complex and interlocked the whole thing would be and it kinda hurt my brainI was just wondering what your guys take on it was and what you guys think about fate or destiny. Sorry for the rant:pSent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

Your fate is not static, but it definitely exists. As you say, there are multiple paths to choose from. Sometimes other people intervene on your behalf and force you down another path, some paths are better than others.

  3. Well then that would mean you ultimatly have no control over your own destiny right? If someone else can come and change it for you without your knowledge or permission then whats better? Having a life thats predetermined by a supreme being, or one that can be changed and altered by anyone at anytime?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  5. Where does consciousness and free will take part? 2013 for me was a grande year of slacking and really not getting much done. I adopted the idea that "whatever I want to do in life, or be, will come to me" bullshit. Didn't really happen. I re-evaluated.

However fate and destiny...I think to an extent it's true that certain things are meant to happen in your life (sorta what your getting at). There's been times where I say there's no doubt I was meant to do or buy or help _______. IMO there's a right and a wrong in virtually everything you do, if you do enough rights you will end up where you are meant to be.

  6. Well conciousness and free will obviously would play a huge role yet they wouldnt be truly YOUR conciousness or YOUR free will. If your whole life is pre-determined and layed out in front of you, then your thoughts would have been already chosen for you to point you in the right direction. Your free will would be choices already set for you to make therefore forcing you down your path/fate. On the other hand, if we have multiple paths, then your free will and conciousness is truly yours..to some extent. Thered still be a limit as to what youd think and what choices you could and would make. The only difference is that youd have some degree of freedom to chose your fate.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
