  1. hiya, ive been watching the site for a few years now this is my first post. ive recently upgraded my light and moved my grow room. im using a 600w mh light, my room is aboot 4 foot by 4 foot and i dunno aboot 6-7 feet high. i have an intake fan but wont be able to get an out take fan till next week, as it is i leave the door open and blow the air out with a fan. the trouble is ive got yellow spots on my leafs at the bottom and the leaves are dying. im using soil recommended for the veg stage and the plants are aboot 3 weeks old. if i had to say i would say its nute burn but i dunno, please help as i need to rectify this. the plants were aboot 5 feet from the light but yesterday i moved em so they are 2 feet from the light.

Lumins depreciate the futher away so closer the better as ling as ya light int burning. If ya put yr hand under light near plant and it does not burn then it will not burn ya plant either. Send sum pics of spots pls. Good luck sweetheart xxxx

  4. Hi love. thanks for pics ....Like ya said.. an inlet wood be great but ya av a fan. 84^ on high side but plants at a push can goto about 90^. Hopefully the little one will be just building its roots. Wen plants build roots their foliage slows. Hopefully it may be ya better plant as its consentrating on roits to make a good plant. Droppy maybe due to heat problem love. Wat ph do u go at love? Just wondering incase ya ph a bit off and the sliwer plant cant take it? Im just guessing love but these are things that cause spots on leafs etc. Check ya ph and also yr run off to make sure no salt build up love. . I av ad plants that compared to rest are slow... they normally turn out to be the best lol. I av 2 out of eight at min been slow compared to others. But they healthy at min so not worried but if i see spots etc i wood defo check ph is in range as this normally the problem xxx

  6. They need fed. Any soil including Fox Farm is really only good for a few weeks at best. Some strains suck in dry in a week or so if they established clones. They look fine though! At that stage drop that 600 to about 2-2.5 ft off tops. They'll be fine. Like Kym said if your hand isn't burning neither are your plants. I assume you have an open wing reflector. One way to get around ventilation is do what your already doing but with a larger fan. They have those cyclone fans at Walmart that will bout blow ya back. They work great, I've used them before for bare bulb vertical runs. Also give them Silica. It strengthens cells walls and allows plants to thrive and hotter temps. On sealed Co2 runs, with silica it can get upwards of 90 with no issue. Give it a shot. It's my go to no matter what line I'm using or even in organics. Again though, they look great! :passing-joint:

  7. i love this site, so many helpful people, thanks all for your input. i have no idea what the ph levels should be, ive done a few grows with cfl and never checked the ph. im using the same water source, the tap in the kitchen lol ill head into town today and get something to check the ph and also grab some ph up and down. the plants are 4 weeks old on saturday, plus i didnt count the first week as it took aboot 5-6 days to sprout from the soil. ill update aboot the ph later, again thanks :)

  8. honestly i dunno what its called, i got it from the grow shop and they said it should last 2-3 weeks without nutes. they have been in that soil for a week and a half now. im heading to the grow shop today ill check to see what soil it is

  9. I only asked about pH because I didn't know if you were using ferts or not. Forget a pH pen, and buy yourself a general organics go box. You'll never use any other product again I promise. I've grown in every style, and with every bottle nutrient, and tried every organic soil mix, whether it be full organics or hot layered soil. With the GO line, you never have to PH. Just follow feeding chart and reap the rewards. I had been using handmade organic soil, and the GO line now has me putting back on 50% more weight on my plants, and I'm still getting the organic taste and smell out of my plants with a very minimal flush right before harvest, none of this three times as much water through your plant bullshit. Give it a try guarantee you'll love it, and so will you plants. Hell my wife uses it for her veggies now lol.
