I've never really been much of a fan of hip-hop, mostly because all I've been exposed to is what they play on the radio and MTV and I really can't relate to busting a cap in, well whatever. The thing is, a buddy of mine introduced me to Dead Prez the other day and I not only liked the music but enjoyed the message as well. It was definitely more thoughtful then the majority of the stuff I've heard on the radio. It seems like a lot of the blades here are into hip hop, so I thought this would be a good place to ask for some more hip hop music with a good sound and a thought provoking message. Anyone have any recommendations?

It feels like history is repeating itself...there was JUST a thread about this yesterday. Use the search button, and I'm sure you'll find some threads about good hip-hop. P.S. check out Quasimoto and De La Soul
Lupe Fiasco pound for pound best out! check out some of his mixtapes farenheit 1/15, revenge of the nerds, and his album that he put out last year food and liquor is an absolute classic!
