United States presidential election 2016 Hilary vs trump. Most brutal campaign of all time?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by nativetongues, Feb 29, 2016.

  1. I won't say that it's definitely gonna happen but my gut tells me that it's gonna be trump vs Clinton for the 2016 election. If that's the case the I think it's going to be the most brutal and ridiculous campaigns of all time. What do you guys think about this matchup? Who do you think would win?

  2. Trump will drag Hillary through the mud. Expect people to come in here and say he's going to drop out or is controlled opposition. I think everyone knows they use to be friends but it's clear he's serious about this presidency. He's already shown he will go after her and Bill's blunders on sensitive matters.

  3. Brutal as in brutally painful? Then yes. I'm so tired of hearing about both of those individuals already. If I were to vote, it would be third party. I just have too much of a conscience...

  4. I have a strange feeling they are helping each other, they are (or used to be friends). And as soon as one of them slips everyone jumps on to the other ones side. I just think they are almost the same but of the 2 different extremes (liberal clinton and conservative trump). All they're doing is separating people using hate. I don't like either of them and it hurts me to say trump is the better option because he won't be able to go through with the racist bullshit if he becomes president and that guy can't be bought. What do I know though I'm just a stoned dude judging people by the image the want people to see them as

  5. It's the most divisive two candidates possible. She wants to "make America whole again" but the only person the right despises more than Obama is Hillary. The level of gridlock and obstruction is mind boggling in our current situation and I don't see any possible way either of them could help lead us to a functioning gov't. Although none of the other candidates would be much better in gaining bi-partisan support. I just want someone that's not owned by special interest donors and isn't an egotistical maniac.

  12. Are ya serious? Lol. In my eyes it's lookin more like Trump everyday. Did you see that Trump has got a little bit Secret Service at his rallies kicking people out? Lol. If it comes down to Hillary vs. Trump I will do a write-in

Or did ya just mean Hillary for the Democratic nomination?

  13. Trump's campaign is a farce. I think it's all a scheme to destroy the GOP, bring out the right wing through international shame, and make an easy win for Clinton. Their families are friends and their daughters are best friends. They have given each other money in huge sums. Donald Trump came out of nowhere and contradicted everything he has ever said in the past since he has been campaigning. His statements become crazier and crazier, and as we near November he will sabotage his campaign on purpose. Also, I find a lot of his statements completely contradictory. If he was such a racist and Muslim hater, he would have never moved his businesses to Mexico, nor would he have resorts all over the middle east.

This is show biz. Is everyone forgetting he was a reality TV star?

    Politics, scripted.

  14. We are in the same boat, I predicted a while ago that Trump won't follow through, I don't think he really wants this.

  17. Worst two candidates to face off in U.S. presidential history

  18. It's brutally painful to watch, that's for sure!

Then again - It still fascinates me to no end. I guess you could call it Schadenfreude

  19. I think Trump wants this more than anything in the world. His lust for power and position "trumps" all else. What better way can there be to stroke his planet sized ego by having the most powerful position in the U.S. and at one time the most powerful position in the world.

Unfortunately for him the GOP is going to yank the welcome rug from under his feet. They won't let him have the nomination. They are plotting and scheming to undermine Trump and deny him the presidency. I predict it will fail miserably and the backlash will destroy a lot of political careers.

  20. The GOP knows that Trump hasn't a hope against Hilldog.

He is too divisive, too prone to putting his foot in his mouth and if he somehow got his name on the ballot he will suffer an embarrassing defeat.

The GOP are in a pitiful state if all they can come up with is Cruz and Rubio, both would also lose to Hilldog IMO.

I can't see any other outcome apart from a Clinton win at this stage.
