One year ago, I bought a subscription to High Times Magazine for one year PRINT. That means I should have received a magazine, but two months later, nothing. I had to call my bank and tell them that I never received my magazines. They refunded my money. A few weeks ago I received an email telling me that my subscription was about to renew. I wrote them an email telling them to cancel my subscription since I never received any of the issues in the mail. I got another email telling me that my subscription has been renewed. WTF??? I tried calling the toll-free number listed on their website and got a recording that the number had been disconnected. Now I'm going to have to call my bank and tell them to stop the transaction, which will probably cost me a service fee. I even tried to subscribe to Cannabis Now magazine and had to go through the same thing with them, I had to contact Capital One to get my money back. What is going on with these magazines? Does everyone use the magazines to roll giant joints so they can stay stoned all of the time and not get any work done? I am so through with these magazines!
They still publish magazines?! My guess is that they actually sold you an electronic subscription Maybe some bait and switch Scamming seems to be the new business practice
LOL our old way of life is crumbling to dust. Mags were one of a few sources of information back in the day. They will store them in libraries, if you remember what they are. High Times & Hustler went together like peas and carrots.
Man I miss reading high times. Get baked and goto the store and chill for a while just flippin through pages.
Yeah, something big changed, don't remember what, but they stopped sending magazines. They didn't stop auto renewals as you found out. They did refund my money when I canceled. I miss the magazine.
I'm not the only one this has happened to. Others have filed reports with the BBB to get their money back because they didn't receive ANYTHING. No magazine, print or digital.
Yeah, anything pulp in subscription form is a gamble How about the way back machine Giving my present to myself a work out
The only thing I found at the Barnes and Noble store in Evansville, is a Cannabis Now magazine and I had to make a claim with my credit card company about not receiving a digital or print magazine from them. I give up.
There may be a market for some older mags if they don't smell and are in decent condition, especially the guitar if they have certain writers or musician penned articles Thinking of getting rid of my old gaming mags Sell as lot and don't let people cherry pick unless they are willing to pay extra
I’m old timey and still in the print age I guess but I figure the sheet music alone would have some value but I don’t know. I switched my Guitar World sub to digital but since this hand has went to hell I hardly bother with it anymore.
My old game guides have several decent offers If I did it several years ago the money would have been insane Pull some issues and do a Google and eBay search on them You can get a rough idea and then search to see if there are more desirable issues Then comes the tedious task of cataloguing
I’ve got a few that I’ll keep just as mementos but I was thinking of offering them up to somebody who plays. I’m not desperate for the space but I should be with junk piled up.
That's kind of messed up. I'm in High Times. Well my hand is. lol I have photos of me tending my plants on my Shutterstock account and they purchased one or some.
Crazy/true but my retired cop buddy said that they charged paraphernalia if High Times was found during a drug bust. I wouldn’t doubt that still exists here.
