  5. I believe that’s a CMH 315w ballast. Is there a bulb in it?

  6. Agreed. Looks like a 315 CMH, or LEC. It’s a great fixture, pay the money for a good Phillips Agro CMH bulb in there and get after it! Should give you a 4x4 spread for veg and a 3x3 for flower.

Supposedly they are 1000watts but have no label to indicate the brand

  8. Meh... I’ve never run any blurples, so I can’t give any advice on them. Stick with the CMH 315. IMO... that should be plenty.

  9. HORTILUX blows that bulb away. Literally 60% bigger

  12. Do you by chance have a spectrum for that hortilux? Is that (2) 600's?

  13. Is there a little sticker on the back with the actual wattage on it? Usually is.
If not then asume it's dogshit and only 130w.
Most likely make a great seedling light though :).

  14. Id like to try the hortilux next time I'm replacing the philips 4200k, but it appears only to be used for vertical hanging. The base off the bulb up top.

  15. Some units won't run the bulb

  16. I have hi-par ballast. I've seen hi-par reflectors made in both vertical and horizontal so maybe it could work. I'm currently mixing 2200k hps with 4200k cmh and loving the results.

  17. Hmmmm.... I need to replace a couple of bulbs, maybe I’ll get one of those Hortilux and see if it works on my ballasts.

  18. Here’s the spectrum chart for Hortilux and Phillips...
