I have an all enclosed 250 watt 2-way lamp. Are lights with the enclosed ballast any less efficient than those that are separate? Also, b/c it is a two way ballast does that make it any more inefficient than the others. Im asking b/c I dont think I have ever seen anyone growing with one of these. Its working good imo but like I said, or forgot to say, this is my first grow. Is it just a heat issue as to why ppl go with the lights with the separate ballast?
yes.... seperate ballasts keep alot more heat oudda da room plus the reflector and light are much lighter without ballast included making raising/lowering much easier. as far as two way.... you mean it switches from HPS to MH? that shouldnt affect efficiency at all. happy growing bro
