i need to purchase a new complete HPS light setup. anybody have suggestions on who has the best prices, & product on a 250w, 400w, or 430w HPS setup, and who makes the brightest bulbs, lumens per watt output
There are lots of great manufacturers. Just do a search on Google. I personally like CoolTouch Lighting products because I think they are high quality compared to some of the cheaper lights that you find on eBay. Also, you should consider a switchable balast (or conversion bulb) so that you can go from MH to HPS. Each are beneficial during different stages of your grow.
i got high output t5 fluoros for my veging, about 22,000 lumens worth, got both grow, and bloom bulbs. but upgrading my bloom lights to HID - HPS, for faster better growth, & yeilds, though ive grown from seed to harvest with my t5's, its only good for 2-4, 2'-4' indica plants. going to be doing cloning this time, with 2-3 mothers for clones, and 4-6 cones to veg to 16" then, flower under hps. hopefully 1 mother big bud, 1 northern lights, 1 white widow, cloning 2 from each. oh yea are round or boxed reflectors better
