thanks to anyone that bothered with my thread Anyways, cutting through the Chase, i plan to launch my First Grow Journal Soon, but before that happens i still need to educate my self more about this whole weed growing thing, when i was young i have always helped out my grandmother with her beautiful garden, and since i love smoking...i figured i should mix my 2 favorite things together. so here are my questions. how many plants of the Strain White Russian could i have flowering under a 1000W HPS/MH after approximately 30 days of veg. growth. I will be growing in my attic, and it gets stuffy in there...and i dont think having a 1000W HPS + 400W MH for veg. gonna help cooling it off, will fans be enough? i also plan to drop 400-500 dollars for a popular Hydroponics system, in case you are wondering what i have in mind, check out this Ebb & Gro system i found on Ebay. will this work well up in an attic? thats all the questions for now, THANK YOU ALL
Well to answer your first ?, i would have to say 1-3, 4 is pushing it, but it also depends if your gonna lst, or prun the top to make it bush, or what have you. Secondly, no they wont, if your gonna use that ebb and gro sys. then i would go to walmart and get you just a regular turning table fan as well, and as they grow just keep upgrading everything. And thirdly that sys. should be fine for an addict depending on its size and how big you want the plants and all that. But as for lighting, i would buy 2 and use one that way you have the extra light if or when you think you need it. Its always good to have back ups, especially for some white russian. Well hope I was of any use.
Just a suggestion would be to try and do your first grow cheap so that you don't waste money on nutes or anything and end up causing the plant damage. Soil (from what i've read) is much easier to tend to and you don't have to check the PH daily, you know? I started some plants, ended up having 8/8 germinate and didn't have the heart to kill any. I just wanted to see how it grows and how long it will take before actually spending a good bit on a good system. About your attic - those normal house fans should be good as long as you have an intake and an exhaust fan. A cheap lighting option for a first time grower would be CFL light bulbs (the circular ones) and you can pick up the things that hold them (with reflectors) for about $5 each at Home Depot. Anyway, if you don't like my idea, go ahead and grow just a few plants under that light and you can build yourself a bubble bucket relatively cheap using a guide on this website somewhere.
