Hi all, can anyone help?

  1. I'm a young male adult. been using cannabis edibles (only edibles, and since cannabis is illegal here I have no idea of the dosage) since feb 2015 until 2.5 months ago. initially it was just once a week and all went no problem but then my usage increased more and more to the point I was getting stoned twice a day. Then one night an extremely unpleasant headache was triggered and over 2 months later I still have it. It feels like no other headache I've ever had in my life it's like my brain feels warm and there is something inside my head. Tried an aspirin and that seemed to make it worse. It just isn't a common headache it feels really strange like I'm sortof stoned but it's gone really bad.

And what is stranger, I have no other symptoms. My senses are fine and I can focus and concentrate just fine.

Can anyone shed any light on what might have happened? I'm a little worried by not knowing. Could my twice a day every day abuse have damaged receptors in my brain? would that cause a headache-like sensation lasting weeks? will it go away given enough time?

I got drunk one night a few weeks ago and that didn't seem to affect my headache at all if that info is any help. And I'm ashamed to admit this but 3 weeks ago I thought it was getting a little better so I tried a very small edible to see if I was ready for weed again and the headache-sensation came back strong again.

I appreciate any thoughts you have.

  2. How about you seek a doctor's advice ?

  3. I have a GP appointment later this month, but this is something I never knew could happen and I have no idea what has/is happening. I was wondering if anyone here had any idea?

  4. you could google it. look at medical journals from other countries that have been weed freindly for a while. mmj is a somewhat newer thing so there isnt really great research out there...just, he said she said, my cousin said, stuff out there
but if your still having headaces that are bad you should go to a specialist that deals with those issues....perhaps you got a concussion? my brother got one a year ago and he gets really bad headaches now

  5. nope, no blows to the head

  6. You probably have a cancerous tumor the size of Nebraska.
Say hi to Harambe for me.

  7. It was not directly related to weed

  8. can (heavy abuse of ) cannabis cause brain aneurisms by any chance? This headache was triggered while I was high and until that point I was eating strong edibles twice a day every day and practically stoned or at least high at any given time of the day,

  9. the cannabinoids could have dislodged something to move it out.. cannabinoids are known as neuro protections...

  10. You probably have a pre-existing condition that's triggered by the increase in blood pressure from the THC. Go to the doctor immediately and let him know what happened. But it might just be that you tweeked your neck or back while medicated and it hasn't popped back into place yet. Happens to me every once in a while. But yeah, for sure head to the doc.

  11. I have an appointment next wednesday. Since it's been 2.5 months I guess I can wait another week.

Do you think it would be a good idea to cut out caffeine to be safe since caffeine can also raise blood pressure?

  12. Absolutely. My dad was getting headaches when I was a kid until he stopped drinking caffeine, so maybe that could be something.

  13. Is it possible to have an aneurysm pressing against THC receptors? 'cause that's how I would describe it. It feels like something to do with my THC receptors as if something other than THC is touching them.

  14. Wut no, if you have an aneurysm and you smoke you can actually kill yourself. Don't do that, go see a doctor.

  15. I see a doctor in 2 days time

It's 87 days since I used cannabis which triggered the headache I've had since.

30 days ago the headache seemed to settle so I used cannabis again (low dose edible) and unfortunately that made the headache worse again

  16. You won't feel an aneurysm at all until it's a problem, btw.Your brain doesn't have any pain receptors in it but the surrounding tissue does. When an aneurysm hits there most likely to come on so fast you won't be able to react.

  17. Sorry to be simple-minded but have you tried allergy meds ? Could just be allergies. I had a head-ache that wouldn't go away and tried allergy meds and it totally helped. Never had any allergies as a kid so I assume it was late developing or due to living on the West coast and growing up on the East coast. Maybe a fungal allergy or something? Anyways, good luck w/ it and hope you're feeling well soon.

  18. And he was never heard from again..... :metal:

  19. Still alive :)

My brain feels very warm right now in an uncomfortable way, not nice.

And yet there are no other symptoms. No numbness, no nausea, I can still focus and concentrate etc. I doubt seeing a GP will be able to tell me on the spot what's up. I reckon he will send me for testing. I really want to know what this is.

    I will feedback what happens.
