im thinkin hps ... but its very expsensive ... im using 4 13-watt cfls and 6 40-watt fluresent tubes cuzz i cant afford the hps setup ....... This Question is for everyone ... if i went to home depot and bought a hps bulb and hooked it to a outlet would it grow or do you have to have a ballast ?
You need red-spectrum light for the flower stage, which HPS provides. You cannot run a HPS bulb without a properly-matched ballast.
