  1. I got a friend Who is a newgrower and i mostly grew photoperiod dependent plants. Sinceit would be his first time, what autoflowering plant do you suggest? Possibly from royalqueenseeds, thanks!

  7. Personally , I try and tell new growers to NOT use autos. Here is why , if they make any beginner mistakes there is no time to correct before flower starts , you stunt it somehow and your stuck with a tiny plant that went into flower . IMO much easier to do a photo plant as a newbie

  9. That is a common belief held by those who haven't grown autos.
I've screwed up auto sprouts more than once (including recently while trying too much food and light), but they are so hardy, they easily recover.
Autos are much easier, and that's all I grow.
No decisions on when to flower, no light leak worries, open the tent anytime day or night, use any convenient light cycle.

The main problem with autos is the lack of control over veg time.
If an auto decides not to flower for 8 weeks, it could get huge, and out-grow the grow space.

Some autos, breeder dependent, might be slightly less stable genetically.
I've randomly had a few award-winning autos that were sub-par.

  10. SeedStockers' quality is excellent according to the members who've grown them on the Autoflower Network.
    Seed Stockers

I recently got their Purple Punch and Sticky Fingers strains.
Only because well respected growers on autoflower network were giving them good reviews.
    And their prices are excellent.

  11. I wouldn’t start with autos either. I never have an impressive grow. Some Fastbuds strains have been ok, but overall the plants are small and unimpressive for the time we dedicate to them.

starting with photos, he can make mistakes, learn how to top and train, and time will solve almost all mistakes.

  13. I used to grow outdoors , lol inside is easier , don't have to worry about pest , mold etc yeah it can be cheaper saving on the elecric bill and buying lights but buying difff sprays to keep pest and preventative stuff adds to cost also

  14. That's not the case for me in hydro.
Right now I've got some nirvana autos going.
White Widow and AK48 are 5 ft tall, and completely fill a 2 x 4 ft tent without ever being topped or trained. I expect 4-6 oz each.
In a different tent a BlueMystic got 7 ft tall, and wanted the whole tent to itself, after being only given 2 sq ft of it. I expect 6-8 oz dry from it, but its size is delaying harvest.

People who grew autos years ago before they got good, or who have tried bad breeders, won't like autos.
For the vast majority of people autos are much easier.

  15. Photos are much easier and yield better IMO. Autos are largely unknown around here. Plus the smoke is better without the ruderalis gene.
