hey newb here, few questions

just wondering what exactly is autoflowering? was looking at lots of those sites for seeds and those seem to look interesting, do they do a certain treatment to seeds to make them flower faster? like can u clone a mother off an autoflowered plant? i assume it would be hard to keep one in veg so using the original seed of an autoflower to grow a mother, is that possible? or would that be a losing battle.

also should I try to be careful and make sure all the seeds I order have same time range? im thinking the 8-14 week ones, (didnt even know you could go more than 11 or 12 weeks lol), im a bit of a newb tho havent done much yet.

also off that attitude seed bank site, are all the names of companies selling seeds through them equal? for example is dutch passion better than g13 labs? I was thinking I prlly wanna try for 5 strains and keep like 2 mothers out of each to be safe (nvr made my own mothers be4). was thinking 3 strains that are 50%ind/50%sat and then a heavy sat and a heavy indica strain.

Ive had alot of setbacks and learned alot already and I have been putting in alot of effort any helpful advice would be much appreciated.

by the way this is indoor, trying to keep this room goin year round, have largeeeee seperate closet for mothers

does anyone have any tips on controlling smell when trim time comes?

and if anyone knows where to get deals on duct fans LMK lol the local hydroponics shop sells then 8inchs for 255$ i believe, so idk if thats overpriced since im a noob lol, tried finding them at home depot but apparently im a noob there too

currently 1 1000w reg hps , next time using 2 600w digital hps, lookin to do around 30-35 if i can, did 13 off this one.

that sucks the autoflowering ones are tiny, how much smaller would you say, right now my current stuff prlly like 4 and half feet-5ft tall (kept in in veg for while) its random clones of supposidely "sweet tooth" from local buddy, I def supercropped to much though and they are retarded bushes that I have to keep redirecting and supporting branches... i didnt do them all super bushy but my buddy said I should, next time I will only crop them a little bit because the ones I only did it to a little bit look fantastic and all the branches go up in great lookin towers of bud

But I could prlly fit 30-35 safely even though some of them might not get quite enough light I was assuming theyd be worth fitting since I got the room and theyl still give me some

should I just go with regular feminized ones then you think?

 

would it be a bad idea to try doing some autoflower and some not in same room? their schedules get to far off?

 

damn that is short, height isnt to big of an issue in my room, its prlly like a 8ft ceiling, im thinking next time i dont want them as bushy because im sick of lower buds not getting enough light, the second light im adding should help some with that but idk, ill prlly just pinch the leaves at nodes like once on each plant and not sure I wana bend branches and bush them out at all, does anyone just let them grow naturally without any stress training?

Im not worried about gettin maximum yield, I want maximum quality to be honest I wouldnt even care if only got around 2lbs off next round just want to step up from something better than these local clones my dude keeps trying force on me.

I prlly kept to many lower branches on these too, maybe if I cleared more out the tops would be even crazier, but they alrdy need enough attention as it is because they so heavy

 

i just dont know if using those spiral lst methods and stuff like that is the direction for me, with the amount of height I have available, might try spiral on 1 or 2 of the next ones

 

ya i tend to overcomplicate lol, its just a big ol maylar'd room , yea ill prlly jus barely pinch them and let em go straight on up, now jus need to find out who the best company thru attitude seeds is, like ive seen ppl mention breeder packs of sealed seeds coming from them, what companies are most likely to do something cool like that? like dutch passion, g13labs, dj short stuff , etc..

or is it all just phenominal shit they sell? lol

 

nono i mean id be happy off 2lbs off the next round when add the 2nd light and double the plants lol, i did manage prlly little under 1 and 1/2 off this time with just the 13 under the 1000w

 

I have intake and exhaust for the room, the air flow is good lots of fans, stays good temps and humidity, you are correct however in saying I dont got odor control which is a lil issue right now I would like to address, part of the reason im switching from the single 1000w hps to 2 600w hps digital is that i want to add vented hoods with ducting to has intake from the next room goin to first light, then the first light connects to 2nd light, maybe with a booster fan between them, and i want the 2nd light to exhaust back thru that same wall(both spots on wall 8in duct fans or w/e the hood is) to that other room, but on the other side of that room away from the ac, which is back on the side that intakes for the lights(bringing ac air in and helpin during summer next year prlly wont need use the ac next to the intake till then, guess ill see if the air coming back from the lights is super hot and needs it sooner lol).

But yea right now it smells a little outside its not huge issue but when i double the amount of plants and get danker strains from seeds which im trying to do, I imagine it wont be something I can overlook anymore, im alrdy scared of trimming day odor lol, im gonna get alot of oust and keep the door to the next room open and keep all doors and windows sealed, and jus oust the hell out of the next room after im done doin it in a few segments so to much smell doesnt build up at once hopefuly lol.

and the reason Im gettin so much is I supercropped the hell out of them, and they grew into monsters lol, alot of b52 during veg heh they got huge, i have pantyhose tieing some of the branches together in groups and curtain rods setup up to hold the branches pointing up, its a battle keeping them all from blocking light on eachother and stuff and i moved them around alot making sure they were each getting good light (till they got to big that if i try moving them around now they break eachothers branches lol)


but yea assuming i had no intake and exhaust i can see where you would be skeptical lol, seeing as i actually did leaving the exhaust out for 1 night only thinking it wudnt be a big deal that i forgot to put it back in and the next morning i felt like i walked into a fucking wet jungle lol i quickly blasted the ac and got the fan back in asap and the humidity fixed itself pretty fast, but i was scared

 

whats the most you can ussually get off an autoflowered?

i want to go with attitude seeds, but its just so damn hard they have such a huge selection I really have no damn clue wat to get since I doubt you can trust just 1 picture of them each lol

unless autoflowered can manage a decent amount and is substantialy shorter periods, I guess ima jus go with reg feminized ones
