I don't use this method on older plants because I now use Azamax and it seems to be keeping my bug problems at bay, plus H2O2 kills good stuff that lives in the growing medium and I pay money for that stuff to live there. But, I just used this method on a new teen (The Purps) I got from Harborside that was loaded with fungus gnat larvae and it seems to have worked very well.

What you do is mix 3 parts ph'd water with 1 part hydrogen peroxide and generously water the plant, covering the entire surface of the soil. It supposedly kills the larvae on contact and will not in any way harm the plant. I would then buy some Azamax and feed it to the plant three times within 30 days during veg. That should keep more the nasty gnats and other living atrocities at bay from harming your babies.
