So this is my first time grow, honestly this is probably one of the first things (If not the first) I've actually tried to grow in my entire life, so I'm an absolute n00b. That said, I have done a lot of research on this. This is about 3 weeks from seed planting. Planted seeds on 3/23. I've lost a few plants already learning the ph and nutrient basics (Snow whites). I probably shouldn't have started those on my first grow, but live and learn I guess. These are auto-fem seeds. Master kush on the left. Snow White in the middle. Green crack on the right. Anyway, I took a few extra pics of a few plants that I'm trying to breathe some life back into. I think they're suffering ph or over nutrient shock from my initial n00bness with learning ph and the proper phases for my nutrients. The one by itself is an ailing Snow White, I think is on it's last legs of life. Is it even going to revive? Is it alive? Should I just throw it out? It's been like that for a week with stunted growth. And then the other two look alive to me, but they're recovering from what I think is ph shock or nutrient shock. Are those just going to take longer to grow. or are they just dying off? Are they worth keeping since I stressed them and now they may become male or hermies? I did accidently n00b it up for a day and put a veg stage nutrient solution in instead of just some root 66 like I should have. It probably lasted maybe 8 hours before I realized I fcked it up. It caused some nutrient burn and those initial losses. I'm using technaflora, the default stuff for Supercloset. I actually have some questions about this stuff too. Here is the chart I use: http://www.technaflora.com/downloads/USA2009.pdf 1) If I'm growing from seedlings, when should I start using nutrients? 2) When should I start the veg cycle nutrients? Just soon as I see more roots or should I let them grow out a few inches first? 3) They have a "transplanting stage". Should I use this stage at all for seedlings or just clones? They should really make a seedling mixing chart, as this one is for clones obviously. They would make it super n00b proof. Any critique is appreciated. I'm here to learn and improve my grow skills!
Cannabis plants a remarkably resiliant; keep them around. I notice a lot of stretching; what lights are you using? How much water are you giving the little ladies and how often? One of the biggest mistakes is over wtatering(been there myself) new growth.
looks like damping off on that dead one....you need the light closer and dont have the wool soaked before roots are established...as for feeding seedlings I would just use 10ml of the thrive green..I started with tf and it can burn plants fairly easy so watch your doses later
I'm using a pair of T5 grow lights on the bottom of my supercloset deluxe 3.0. I'm honestly not sure how I can get the lights closer since they mount to the top. Maybe I can put the reservoir up higher on something. Currently they're in the superponics 50 supercloner. It seems to hold 6.5 gal. I change the water/root66 solution once a week currently while spraying with the thrive green and doing ph 1-2 times per day, as time allows for me. AT LEAST once a day now from what I've learned.
How long should I take them out and let them dry? So I just take them out of the water and let them dry out and hand water them? Sorry n00b here.
is there bubbles in the tub? they shouldn't be sitting in water just shut those off and let the roots grow out the bottom more..dont know how long rockwool stays damp I assume a coupe days or so maybe someone else knows...the others look decent though just need more light
Oh yeah, I've got two air stones in there. Here is what I'm growing in, all included: Deluxe 3.0 LED Grow Cabinet-grow box | SuperCloset Yeah I appreciate all the help and info! The better off you all get me, the more regular I will become and become one of the helpers.
Wow noob going head first into hydro. Your about to have the most nerve racking heart breaking few months ever. Not bashing you. Been there and done that lol I wanna watch tin do his thing CanniAnnie's Quest for balance
actually second guessing on the water since they dont show overwatering just such a common prob here...if ph and ppm is fine now I would just wait and see how they do but dont let the rockwool stay soaked...putting the sprayers or stone on a timer can help too
Awesome ok, that was kind of what I was thinking, but I came on here for the re-assurance. hahahah yeah tell me about diving right into hydro, but it's my style. When I wanna learn something new I dive all in. lol
its not too hard just gotta keep on it a lot...Im too lazy and go back and fourth between coco and organics
I start mine basicaly the same, your water level is def too high n bucket(rockwool too wet)you want the water only half in at bottom of netpot.you want the rockwool to wick water from the clay pellets.shouldnt see the top of rockwool wet, when you pull the cup out only clay pellets should b wet
