Hello everyone, this is my first post so forgive me if this is a bit scrambled or I leave pertinent information out. Let’s get to it, I have a few different strains running.. I grow in DWC, with hydroton, I use hydroguard and AN nutrients with RO water.. I have a few hydro grows under my belt but this is the first time using RO... I switched because my taps ppm is over 450 and it’s LOADED with sodium, so it was a pain getting plants to harvest having to deal with shorty water... I’m rambling, anyways i have several strains going, 90% of them are healthy and looking great but I have 4 plants that I’m noticing some odd growth coming out of where the second set of true leaves are... I’ve never seen this, I want to believe it’s just new growth being discolored and that’ll it’ll grow it out of it as the leaves get bigger but I’m not willing to chance it so I figured I’d come here and ask the progressional.... pictures will be posted shortly. If I left any info out please let me know and I’ll add it in. Thanks guys.
See the odd thing is that I’m running 2-3 plants of each strain... it’s only 1 gorilla skittles, 1 blueberry, and 1 do-si-dos... the other plants of the same strain are looking beautiful. That is what has me confused... One of my other plants was showing those signs but as the leaf got bigger it grew out of that funky looking color and became a normal looking leaf... I have never seen this before, so I’m curious as to what others thoughts on this might be.... Also, just in case it’s important, none of the plants were fed until day 7(ish) or whenever I noticed the cotyledons starting to change... all the buckets were given different amounts based on their appearance but 95% of them were fed 3 ml hydroguard, .5ml micro, and .5 ml cal-mag... as It’s my first go using RO water, I would greatly appreciate any tips, on when to start feeding seedlings and at what amounts when using RO because I know it’ requires a different feeding schedule then if I were to use my 450ppm sodium loaded tap water lol .. anyways thanks for reading, and I appreciate any help/advice in advance.
Note: I fed these yesterday, these symptoms your seeing were present before being fed anything other then hydroguard.
