    Use my cover letter format:
    YOUR NAME

    Address
    city/state/zip

    Ph

    E-mail

    Dear Personnel,

\tWhile researching jobs in the ____ industry in (your city/state), your company piqued my interest for the _____ position within (company name here). I foresee this as an excellent opportunity in such a highly competitive and comparatively closed field.

\tI am a people-oriented, enthusiastic, so and so focused on a career in the (field you're in) with a passion for knowledge of the (field) industry and believe I would be a great asset to (company name here). I would appreciate a brief moment of your time to meet and discuss this opportunity further and apply the _______ position.
    \t
Paired with a continuous interest in the (field) industry, I understand what is involved in succeeding as a team and as an individual. I would be happy to discuss any work experience in depth when we meet.

\tI look forward to meeting with you and will contact you within the week via phone to arrange a mutually convenient time.

    Sincerely,

    your name here

You can change phone to e-mail if you please, however you feel comfortable following up with them. If you know the manager or person's name that you're supposed to be sending the resume to, change personnel to their name so it would be dear (their name here) or you can simply start it: Mr. So and so,...

Also put a border graphic in between your contact info and your cover information and put one underneath sincerely, your name. Make it stand out!

Also buy some weighted paper for resumes as well. Thicker paper = better chance too.
