Hermie w/o showing/knowing

  1. is it possible to have s hermi plant & not know it?
meaning, that i cannot see ANY visible signs of hermi, no balls, or banannas.

im asking b/c 1 of my plants (~4wks on 12/12) hairs are starting to turn brown/red very fast, & are shrinking & pulling back in, & it was a clone from a possible hermi (took clones before they hermied, & didnt "mark" which clones came from which moms), so im not sure if it came from my hermi mom or not, + i think it hermied from heat stress in late flower, not genetics.

all 6 other plants have almost no hairs that have started turning colors, & are still white, & growing nice, & the 1 is still growing, & still sprouting new buds & white hairs, its just the buds/hairs that were there for the 1st 3wks that have taken this turn to brown, & pulling in.

    ive looked & looked & looked w/ my eyes, & pics @ 12mp @ full size, & i havent found 1 clue/hint of any hermi'ness.

is it possible for the hermi part to be deep inside the buds, & as new hairs grow out they are getting pollinated? I cant look for seeds yet, as this has just started over the last wk.

oh, & another thing, this plant "looks" like its way far ahead of the others, as its buds are covered in trichs, vs the other plants are just really starting to produce trichs in high quantities.
plants are healthy, green w/ some slight yellowing here & there.

    any ideas or thoughts.

  2. If you are growing in soil you could have run the pot too dry and the stigmas dried up. If inside it could be hotter in this area than others. The third possibility is different varieties getting ripe at different times.

Hermies usually show in the nodes of the plant not as part of the female flower.

  3. i water every 2days, & the plants have never had any drooping at all, & i rotate my plants around when i water, & the 3rd option, they are all clones, so their genitics are the same.

ive seen hermi parts in/on the buds, not just at the nodes, thats why i ask this, that maybe the hermi part isnt visible b/c its in the buds, & as new pistols grow, they are getting pollenated

  4. If the male flowers are in the female bud usually they are in a cluster like the females and several pods are growing together and would be easy to see. Hermies later in flower usually appear as single male flowers at the nodes. If this plant is pollinated you should see the calyx swelling as the seed is formed. If you have looked very carefully and can't find any male flowers you are probably OK, just monitor the trichomes for ripeness and harvest when ready.

  5. thanks, no signs of male parts or seed sacks yet, & ive got new pistols growing out over the old schrilved ones
