Hermie, Male, Or Swollen Female?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by ElVatoFirme, May 16, 2014.

  1. Hey all,

I got a plant believed to be Lollipop.  I started it from seed and it's shown excellent growth, but now I'm fearing it could be a male or a hermie.

I've read that calyxes may swell on a female as well, but I can't seem to find a picture of what a swollen female calyx looks like.  And I haven't read if a female can swell so soon in flowering; mine is 1.5 weeks into the flowering stage.

    Here are a few pics.

Anyones thoughts are welcome, in fact encouraged.  I'm really unsure what to do, as I don't want to chop a potentially swollen female.

  2. I'm no pro.but I'd just let it grow and see what happens

    that is a herm

more male than female. let it finish if it's your only plant, and hash it up at harvest

  4. Thank you all for the speedy replies.

Sadly all it's done is confirm my suspicions haha.

However this is not my only plant.  I have two Juliet clones flowering right along side it.  So I believe it might be in their best interest to chop him/it and devote all my space to the ladies.

Again thank you all.  I truly appreciate it.

  5. oh yea, cut that fucker down asap ;)

  6. 100% Male IMO. Best to chop it before it gets your little girls PREG-NINT.
    Sorry my man.

    @Mr.Bud
A definite bummer since, besides the pods, it was the best looking I had.
At least I didn't count all my chickens before they hatched.
Or rather all my buds before they sprouted haha.

  8. straight up male. Nothing hermy about it

  10. Well so far the others are still looking female, so that's a plus.

This was the first male I've ever had, and it was a feminized seed.
Quite a trip, since I've grown bagseed that had a 100% female rate haha.

  11. Of it was fem seed, I'd say to keep an wye out for more sacks and flowers. None of them were open right?

  12. I take that original back, I see some feminine traits so yah, I'd say germ, I'd say look for more and check out your grow area well.
