this one guy said all he grows is hermies and he gets the best shit ever, like i've seen the results and there's def nanners in it... he said that he foliars like every other day, and doesnt have a fan running ever except intake and exhaust... no wind on the plants at all.... so anyways question is how does the pollen spread? does the plant throw it out like a human ejaculating? or does it solely depend on wind to spread it?
pollen floats about in the air so if there is any lights on it. (which will have some heat) Then it can go get air bound and go up and down teh whole plant. If left all of the plant will be full of seeds,
what about removing the calyxes as soon as they're knocked up? but anyways how does the pollen become airborne without a fan? does the plant launch that shit or what
The calyx is what produces your thc and is what your buds are so removing them will create no buds or thc. You want to remove the male polen sacks to try limit number of seeds. If you have ever seen a room with dust in it it will float about depending on the heat in the room, Pollen can do the same. I wouldnt say it shoots out or is launched. If the male bananas open up and is @ top of the plant you can bet it will make its way about your plant. Heat can make light particles float and the wind would normaly carry it to anything that is near. hope that helps
Well, in my option, the strain he is growing would be WAY better if it was ALL female... It is a KNOWN FACT that male plants do not produce nearly as much resin as the females.. Think about that for a second... If males are not a potent as females, and this plant is say 1/4 male... Honestly, if you do run into buds which have a lot of male pods, does it really get you as high as the buds which don't???? and pollen can be spread by simply breathing on an open male pod.
