I grow a lot of variety as well collect seeds. My favorite breeder would be thug pug. But favorite affordable would be ethos. Even though thug pug had that price drop. I have 4 growing spaces. 4x4, 2x4, 2x2. Plus outside. I also run a lot of experiments for fun. Just for fun. Not for science. You’ll have to ask for those tho. As that’s what makes it hard to find a forum home. Is judgment. I hate being judged for the wrong reasons. I have a big heart. I don’t judge. And love friends as well being apart of something. Oxbird USB microscope under $20.00. At 50x you can see exactly what your trichomes are doing and unlike most of the cheap ones this has a stand and adjustment height for much easier focus. 10 weeks in flower gets them done for my taste and I don't really use it much now. Living in So Cal we are uniquely able to grow outside all year round. Aug 1st = Take Clones Oct 15th = Harvest, Set out veg plants, Take clones from same Jan 1st = Same March 15th = Same June 1st = Harvest, Set out summer plants. I've run this for several years now. I have that tool. I usually run 70 days as well. But I’m being told that, that’s mid flower? Idk. I think it was just a bunch of attacks. And premature harvest is an easy jab. Would you like to see pics of my garden and kinda give me a pictural guesstimate? Because last I checked. Unless one was truly there. They can’t tell someone when to harvest. Atleast inmy experience of the last decade. And yeah. I don’t grow Jan-March anymore. I’m in the high desert. It gets cold
With most all the plants I grow being hybrids 10 weeks actual is the sweet spot for my personal taste. I shake all the buds with dry ice for the Kief and make Capsules from that as my primary method of consumption and smoke the rest. This gives me an edible oil that is as perfectly dialed into effects as I can get. I've had most of the last ten years to iron out that exactly ideal dose and effect. 9 weeks is to speedy and 11 weeks is to sleepy. 10 is that goldilocks zone for me. As growers we can choose exactly how we like our medicine. I'm just 2 miles from the beach so moderate temps all year long. Sure post up some pictures we all love good bud / plant porn. BNW
Welcome to the City; it can be a bit clannish, with certain threads feeling like a local VFW where you either click or pass. Overall folks are cordial and loyal to their circle but there can be those that seem to thrive on sarcasm. I've got a habit of rehashing the same details of my grows which are of little interest to many because I work with bagseed and eschew regimen beyond timeframe and training; Ph, nutes, and other technical details are just Charlie Brown's teacher to me.
These are what I call my sample cuts. I run a small cut to flower to see what flowering time is for the mothers run. See if I wanna go longer or shorter. This is amnesia and killer Og. I have many many many other strains running atm as well. But these are the ones in question. I’m back tracking my knowledge and asking for opinions and or help. They’re currently at day 68 of flower. Amber trichs are on each spot I check. I wanted to do a Rasta Jeff experiment. Running 18/6 last 7-10 days of flower. But I got laughed at. Told my plants will die. And pretty much any respect in that community I had is now tarnished. Any new member looks at me as a pre mature harvesting newb now because a well respected member humiliated in front of the public. And apparently dr bugbee is a joke and so is Rasta Jeff. And I follow their practice. Which made me a joke. Lmaob
