  1. I was about to smoke this and thought it was pretty. Yeah I know I left a little sugar leaf on it. So sue me. I'm my only customer ;)

    Thanks.

I'm just starting to smoke this latest harvest but I'm letting the larger nugs cure more first. Here's one I pulled out to pull a few more leaves off. I was in a hurry when I trimmed this batch, and truth be told I don't always trim every last bit off anyways.

This one needs a couple more weeks of curing.

EDIT: Same nug up close. Yeah I know my camera sucks.

  5. ^wut genetics?? more on the sativa end?

  6. It's an F4 hybrid of the strain I'm currently working on. It's parents were ((Northern Lights #5 x Oaxacan Sativa)) x (Northern Lights #5) and the Oaxacan grandparent. It has both Sativa and Indica characteristics.

  7. Damnnnnn! You gotta let me know how that smokes when it's done curing!

  8. Tasty stuff definitly.

  9. The early stuff is already cured enough to smoke. It's much like it's relatives in my current breeding effort. A hint of earthiness and spice with an overall fruity taste. This one is leaning a bit towards the Sativa high wise. The stable strain will hopefully be a fairly balanced phenotype resembling the initial F1 hybrid.

  10. Very nice man. You must be very proud of your work. Amazing how you can breed plants to produce certain buds. Must take lots of knowldge on the subgect.

  11. Thanks, glad y'all like them. The proof is in the smoking of course but I know how people like their bud porn so once in awhile I oblige :smoking:

Yes it's very satisfying, breeding different hybrids.

I want to lay in a bed of this:

  12. Mmm! Sounds fantastic man. I noticed you said the other batch still needs to cure for a couple more weeks, how long do you normally let it cure for?

  13. After drying for 3-7 days depending upon bud sizes and how dry they get (the stems need to be snappy not bendy) I jar the small and medium ones then leave the big ones in a brown paper bag for an additional week before jarring.

Once jarred I air them out every day or so for a week, then maybe once or twice in the following couple of weeks. Truth be told it's ready to smoke once it's dry, but 2-6 weeks in jars (longer = better ) make for a tastier smoother less harsh smoke.

I think six weeks is my sweet spot for my very best prime buds.

  14. Thanks for the tip man, the advice is greatly appreciated

  15. My pleasure.

  16. amazing bud man :)

  17. Yeah I'm not sure how he can wait 6 weeks, my inner child says smoke that immediately hahaha

Oldschool, when are you harvesting? I've been chopping at about 30 - 50% amber (Sativa dom's) but I'm thinking about letting this grow go a bit later. It's something I've wanted to play around with but haven't gotten around to. I'm hoping a later harvest will take the head high down a notch or two and mellow out the buzz. Any advice?

EDIT - Guess I shouldn't have posted this here but I'll leave it for now.

  19. I usually harvest before much at all turns amber. More than 20% is too much for the most part. When it's 30-50% amber it'll really put you to sleep, so if that's what you want go for it. At that point THC is already breaking down to CBD.

I do let some overmature for just that reason sometimes.
